Have had it about 4 months now without issue. When my daughter was feeding the fish tonight she noticed the towel we have under the tank was damp. I checked later after we had dinner etc and the whole towel is pretty much soaked.If the air pump isn't at least vibrating/making some sort of noise, it's probably the air pump that is the issue. I would call your local store and explain the problem, they may let you swap out the air pump for a different one without returning the whole tank, but this depends on the store/management working.
