Tried to start, just solenoid clicking, I think the solenoid I'm hearing is the one on the firewall., Jan 17, 2013 · Had the same problem, except the boss installed a new starter, new relay and all, still didn't start, found out it was the constant +12v wire coming into the relay, that when the key was turned to "start" it would ground out, found the wire had stripped due to age/vibration.
