Objectively highest dps - rapier > red iron winblade (rapier is available in Majula so it gets an edge) God tier - large club/great club, mace, katanas (uchi is the most reasonable one you get early), santiers spear, claymore, murakumo. The Gyrm Axe is both the slowest and hardest hitting. The Bandit Axe has no reach and is good in spite of this. I don't care for the moveset of most of the hammers but they're all fine.
