New to this forum (and to Outbacks for that matter). I'm having an issue with my lighting. The rear combination lights (signal, tail, marker), license plate light and front side markers won't turn off after the car is turned off (key is removed from ignition). I checked the light switch and made sure it was off, but this didn't solve my problem.Press and hold the rear gate opener button. If the rear gate does not open, perform the procedure described in “Rear gate (Outback) – if the rear gate cannot be opened” F9-20. 2. Gently close the rear gate by hand until it reaches the half-shut position. 3. Operate the power rear gate to confirm it is recovered.Not sure about the Impreza, but the 2000-2004 Outback/Legacy fuel pumps have a chamber with a metal cap and o-ring at one end. The o-ring, apparently, tends to swell, sometimes causing the tabs that hold the cap on to crack. Go to start the car and the brake pedal is very hard to depress. Push the start button and car stumbles, but starts. Once in a while the pedal is soft (normal) and the car starts without stumbling.
