Its gonna take days to reach 440 so you might as well ascend around 100-200 something. You can "comfortably" ascend at 200 first, and then build up from there. One thing to consider is that one of the achievements is to ascend 100 times. That shouldn't be too difficult since you need to earn at least one prestige before you can ascend. If you're a completionist like me then there's a shadow achievement to ascend 1000 times. Trust me when I tell you not to wait too long to do this one.
