Each piece of gear dropped in a GR doesn't have a higher chance at being primal in a higher GR. With that, you get more legendaries in a higher GR. So theoretically you have a higher chance of getting one. But only if you're being fast/efficient.

I am able to fill all other recipies with te fill button. I can’t even pre-fill the recipe for the augment ancient item. It is just greyed out…. This will require a lot of bounty materials. Otherwise, just continue to farm, focus blood shards on the item you want to get an ancient or primal for, and it'll come eventually. i heard that gr90 is the speedy way to do it. at gr90 the rg apparently caps out its legendary drop rate so going any higher to try and grind gear doesnt help. then ... ….

It is a very low chance. Don’t be obsessed about them. They’re nothing but regular ancients with maxed affixes. A normal ancient or even a basic legendary can be a better option than a primal, it really depends on the affixes.
