I own an M4 and have owned an M2 28” that was set up for 3 gun as well a M2 Tactical as well as several other Benelli’s, and I have shot the 1301’s. I would take the 1301. The recoil is considerably less. It has the fastest cyclic rate. Also the controls, are in my opinion exactly where they should be and the trigger pull is way better. With that said the 1301 is a very well built, very well assembled gun and I can't find anyplace that they left anything lose or not centered properly. The M4 has a lot of metal parts that Beretta chose to sub plastic instead. Semi-automatic guns only require that the shooter pulls the trigge r between shots. A pump-action requires a bit more manipulation than that. That pump requires more work than a semi-auto. Semi-autos are often easier to handle under stress due to their design.
