I just purchased a new Glock 43 in November. My problem is with an unloaded magazine in the gun if I pull the slide all the way to open locked position I can't close slide. It won't release by pushing the slide stop lever or pulling back a little more on the slide and releasing.

I prefer the slick "frying pan" type finish on my Glocks from a few years ago, but lots of people like the less slick finish.
